how to make recycled paper to support forest conservation

When doing activities, it is often easy for us to find sheets of paper. For example at school, shop, home, or supermarket. So it can be concluded that paper is an important component in supporting human activities. Based on the official website of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) it is known that the world's paper demand in 2019 reached 394 million tons and is estimated to increase to 490 million tons in 2020. This increase should be suppressed, because the high use of paper can have an impact on the environment. However, in the midst of human dependence on paper, there are environmental problems. Reporting from the tiredearth page, every 12,000 paper produced requires one tree in the forest. So it can be concluded that in 2020, 40,833,333 trees were cut down to meet the world's paper needs.

Trees are closely related to the existence of forests. The more trees that are cut down, the more it can affect the forest and the flora and fauna in it. In order to support the preservation of flora and fauna, we can also take simple and easy actions. Examples include using paper effectively, preparing cloth instead of tissue, making recycled paper. To be able to make recycled paper, follow these steps.
Tools and materials
  1. Waste Paper
  2. Wood Glue
  3. Screen printing
  4. Bucket
  5. Blender.
  6. Board or plywood.
  7. Cloth.
  8. Scissors
Work steps
  1. Prepare tools and materials for recycled paper.
  2. Cut the used paper into small sizes.
  3. Soak the paper strips in the bucket for one day and one night.
  4. Blend the soaked paper and water in a ratio of 3: 1 or 3 liters of water to 1 liter of pulp.
  5. Put water into the bucket with a height of 1/4 of the height of the bucket. Then put the pulp into the bucket.
  6. Dissolve a tablespoon or two of wood glue in water. Then put it in a bucket filled with pulp.
  7. Stir in the pulp and wood glue mixture for 10-15 minutes or until smooth.
  8. Prepare the plywood board. Cover the plywood board with cloth. Its function is so as not to contaminate the surface of the plywood board and facilitate paper drying.
  9. Put the screen in the bucket. Then lift the screen so that the pulp can cover the entire surface of the screen evenly.
  10. Place the screen upside down on the plywood board.
  11. Gently tap the screen, until the paper print can be released from the screen and stick to the board.
  12. Cover the pulp with a cloth previously moistened with water.
  13. Repeat step number eight to step number ten. In order to get recycled paper with good quality.
  14. Cover the paper print with a board or plywood. Put a weight on it. The goal is that the printed paper can be compressed (prees). Cover for an hour or until the moisture content of the paper prints reduces.
  15.  After the fabric dries, carefully open the mold. To get the maximum results of used paper, do ironing on the waste paper that has been made.
